TL Studio Landscape Architecture

TL Studio (TLS) is a full service landscape architecture firm with offices in Providence, Rhode Island and Falmouth, Massachusetts.  Founded by Tom Lee, after more than 20 years of practice, TLS brings a diverse body of work ranging from residential gardens to institutional and public projects.  At the heart of our practice is the goal to establish landscape design as the link between architecture, site and environment.  We strive to create simple and beautiful landscapes that express a sense of place and strong connectivity to a region’s ecology, culture and history. New England’s rich natural and cultural history, its diverse mix of landscape patterns resulting from glacial, agricultural and urban forces, are an endless source of inspiration for our work.

Tom is a registered Landscape Architect with over 20 years of experience. He worked for 10 years in California before returning to New England in 2001. Tom is a product of the East and West, growing up in Vietnam, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia and South Korea. He has a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design from University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and has traveled extensively in East Asia.


Gregory Sanford

After 10 years of working in landscape construction, Gregory attended the University of Rhode Island and earned his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture. His deep knowledge of construction informs all aspects of his work as a designer, and allows him to evaluate projects with a clear & critical eye. His multi-faceted abilities has elevated the quality of work both in the office and in the field.

Yining is a recent graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture and a Bachelor of Agriculture in Landscape Gardening from Beijing Forestry University. .
